The people behind Weemston Consulting

Portrait of Jessica Weeman

Founder & Lead Consultant

Jessica Weeman

Jessica Weeman is the founder and lead consultant of Weemston Consulting, bringing deep experience across operational strategy, organizational change, strategic project leadership, and convening design. Her career spans global nonprofits, startups, private equity, and creative ventures, where she has built new functions, led complex initiatives, strengthened organizations, and designed experiences that bring people together around shared purpose.

I believe better ways of working start with understanding what people and organizations truly need.

An ICF certified coach, Jessica brings a grounded, collaborative style to her work and is known for bringing out the best in the leaders and teams she partners with. She holds a BA in History and Anthropology from Johns Hopkins University, and her work and travels across more than 30 countries have shaped the curiosity, adaptability, and global perspective she brings to every engagement.

Based in Maryland with her husband and their tiny pup Zoe, Jessica is often found adventuring, hosting friends for dinner, or buried in an impossibly long fantasy novel. She loves creating community wherever she goes and brings that same spirit of warmth and connection to her work.

Portrait of Jennifer Thompson

Senior Consultant

Jennifer Thompson

Jennifer Thompson is a Senior Consultant with Weemston Consulting, bringing deep experience in operations, partnership development, program design, organizational improvement, and stakeholder engagement. A systems thinker at heart, she is skilled at turning complex, multi-stakeholder work into clear, sustainable ways of working that connect people, processes, and organizational goals.

Jennifer has spent the past six years at Marymount University’s School of Education, where she has led initiatives spanning accreditation strategy, program design and evaluation, doctoral program administration, licensure compliance, and large-scale convenings. Her work includes leading the university’s CAEP reaccreditation process, developing systems to support academic programs and partnerships, and designing conferences, retreats, and other experiences that bring diverse stakeholders together. Before higher education, she spent nearly a decade in operations and client-facing roles.

Jennifer is currently completing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Organizational Innovation at Marymount University, expected in 2027, with research focused on the institutional conditions that support effectiveness, retention, and self-efficacy. Across her work, she brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach grounded in transformational leadership and a belief in meeting organizations where they are.

Jennifer lives in Maryland with her two children, a husband, a dog, and a cat, and they love exploring the local, national, and world treasures through adventures together.

Portrait of Ma. Lalyn Segovia, Executive Assistant & Operations Manager at Weemston Consulting

Executive Assistant & Operations Manager

Ma. Lalyn Segovia

Lalyn Segovia is Weemston Consulting's Executive Assistant & Operations Manager, serving as Jessica's right hand and owning the day-to-day systems that keep the practice running.

Where structure meets execution.

Lalyn brings over 5 years of experience supporting founders and executives across a range of industries in the US and Australia. Her experience has shaped how she works, and given her a natural instinct for building structure out of ambiguity. Her approach is steady and people-first, grounded in the belief that good systems exist to support good relationships, not the other way around. At Weemston, she wears many hats. She handles administrative support, client engagement, financial administration, system creation, and social media. She oversees everything across the practice, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

That same proactive, systems-first approach carries into everything she touches. She's happiest chasing new adventures and exploring the world alongside her family.
